Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and motivated freelance content creator to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling content across various platforms to support our marketing campaigns and enhance our clients’ online presence. A significant part of this role will involve being on-site with our clients in Central Virginia to capture high-quality photos and videos for digital marketing campaigns. Responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Content Development: Create high-quality, engaging social media and digital content that aligns with our clients’ brands and marketing goals. This includes on-site photo and video shoots for clients in Central Virginia.
• Research & Ideation: Stay updated on industry trends and gather insights to inform content creation. Brainstorm and contribute fresh content ideas and continued recommendations regarding the latest trends and social media best practices.
• Content Calendar Creation: Work with account managers to develop monthly content and campaigns.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing team to understand client needs, align content with campaign objectives, and contribute to content strategy meetings.
• Analytics & Reporting: Assist account managers with tracking and analyzing content performance to understand its impact and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in content creation with a passion for social media, photography, and videography. A portfolio or samples of social media posts/accounts you manage and metrics (i.e. follows, views, reach, shares, likes) are required.
• Skills:
• Strong, professional aesthetics for capturing high-quality photos and videos.
• Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Experience with photo and video editing tools, as well as Canva or similar design tool.
• Copywriting skills for engaging captions.
• Creativity and excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, a team mentality, and a positive, energetic attitude are essential.

Hours & Compensation

Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours weekly. Hours will be flexible depending on account needs, with a mix of in-office and onsite content gathering for clients in or around Charlottesville.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
