Job Description

iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to join our team! This is a remote contract opportunity for a skilled individual passionate about building engaging and efficient web interfaces. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern web technologies, understands user experience principles, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
• Optimize web applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve related limitations.
• Implement front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Work with server-side technologies to create seamless integrations.
• Apply UX principles to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building web interfaces with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Ember, Backbone, jQuery).
• In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Ajax.
• Familiarity with Elastic technologies.
• Experience with server-side technologies like Node.js, Ruby, or PHP.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser limitations and workarounds.
• Knowledge of UX principles and ability to create intuitive user experiences.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with build tools and version control systems (e.g., Webpack, Git).
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.

Benefits

Primary Location Pay Range: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour.

1099/Contractors: No benefits.

Temp salaried employee benefits, if scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week: medical, dental, vision, 401k, holidays.
