Job Description

This position will help develop new products and support existing web applications maintained within the Enterprise section. The candidate will join an existing team to work on a critical API consumed by multiple other development teams. They will need to balance competing priorities from multiple teams. Strong experience with REST APIs, fullstack development, .NET Core, and OAuth and OpenID Connect is necessary for success in this role. The team uses GitHub for code management, and familiarity with this tool is important. The candidate will also work on projects involving .NET MVC and .NET Core web applications and will utilize languages and tools such as JavaScript, jQuery, C#, Bootstrap, and Kendo UI.

Requirements

Strong experience with:

  • REST APIs
  • Fullstack development
  • .NET Core
  • OAuth and OpenID Connect
  • Writing custom SQL
  • Coding for authentication
  • Using LDAP
  • Supporting applications running in IIS
  • Test-driven development and automated testing methodology

Additional skills beneficial for the role include:

  • Experience with SQL Server and developing stored procedures
  • Understanding of ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, and n-tier architecture
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Production support experience
  • Writing clear and concise technical documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience performing unit and smoke tests
  • Application development expertise using .NET MVC with C#
  • Familiarity with GitHub and JIRA
  • Experience with Entity Framework and Kendo controls
  • Experience writing JavaScript-based responsive HTML5 applications
  • Experience with security threat prevention and response techniques
  • Experience with IIS

A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a related specialty or 8+ years of relevant experience is required.
