Job Description

Job Title: Freelance Backend Developer (Mid-Level)

Location: 100% Remote

Start Date: March

Role Overview: Join our client’s dynamic team as a Freelance Backend Developer, focusing on backend development while supporting frontend tasks as needed. You will work on the following project:

PSP Migration: Replace our current payment provider with a new one, enhancing backend architecture for improved performance and scalability.

Backend Development: Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Optimize system architecture for seamless integration of a new payment provider or support the development of a custom customer support tool. Ensure backend services are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong experience with Java and the Spring Framework, especially within microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Ability to work independently within a defined project scope, delivering high-quality solutions on time.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • Experience with payment systems and APIs is preferred.
