Contract: Full-time

Job Description

BeaconFire, based in Central NJ, specializes in Software Development, Web Development, and Business Intelligence. They are looking for candidates with a strong background in Software Engineering or Computer Science for a Python/Node Full Stack Developer position. The role involves collaborating with the team to design and develop high-quality web applications using Python, Flask, JavaScript, Node, React, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop high-quality web applications.
  • Write clean and efficient code, ensuring code maintainability and reusability.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Conduct testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for web applications.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies for Python and JavaScript development.

Requirements

  • Experience in software development in Python3 and/or JavaScript (ES6).
  • Decent understanding of the software development/testing life cycle.
  • Knowledge of relational/non-relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).
  • Experience with version control tools, such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 0 - 1 year of professional experience in Python web application development with either Flask or Django.
  • 0 - 1 year of professional experience in JavaScript web application development with React or Node.
  • Experience in RESTful API development in Python or Node.
  • Understanding of Python/JavaScript web application frameworks such as Flask or ExpressJS.
  • Experience with Cloud services, such as AWS.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year.
