Role Title: Python Developer

Duration: Contract through the end of the year

Salary: $65k - $68k per year

Office Status: Open to remote but will be working in CST time zone

Reason for Opening: Part of the ERP migration project

Seeking a passionate Python Developer Consultant. The candidate will work on data engineering problems and building data pipelines. This role involves developing high-quality software solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams. There is an opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using Python
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Write clean, reusable, and scalable code
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality
• Troubleshoot and debug Python-related issues
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Python development

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Python Developer with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Python software stacks and frameworks (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, Sci-Kit Learn, PyTorch)
• Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GitHub, TDD, CI/CD, XML, Odoo, ORM, API, JSON
• Knowledge of data science & machine learning tools
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Contributions to open-source Python projects or active involvement in the Python community
