Job Description

Lakshya Digital, a part of Keywords Studios, is a leading provider of Game Art services to the global games industry, with over 800 employees and contributions to more than 150 AAA titles across all major platforms and genres. We are looking for an experienced Senior Level Designer to join our rapidly growing team, which has studios in India (Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Pune) and teams in the US, UK, Japan, and the Philippines. This position is a fully remote 6-month freelance contract starting in June 2025, with the possibility of extension for another 6-12 months.

The ideal candidate must be able to work within UK timezone hours and will have the opportunity to work on various exciting projects, contributing to some of the biggest IPs in the gaming industry, such as Diablo Resurrected, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Halo Infinite.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing levels for single-player games using Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• A strong track record in creating engaging FPS or action-based gameplay spaces.
• Ability to own large features or map areas, including roadmap planning and scope estimation.
• Skilled at developing benchmark examples and clear metrics to guide other departments.
• Deep understanding of level pacing, encounter design, and storytelling through gameplay.
• Ability to collaborate with art and technical teams to ensure level content meets gameplay and visual goals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior level designers.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira to write user stories and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Understanding of reusable modular design and hub-style world structures is a plus.
• Previous experience on survival or stealth-focused games is a bonus.
