The Birmingham Law School Environmental Law team seeks to recruit a student with relevant experience to support a digital education project aimed at enhancing student engagement through the incorporation of digital tools in teaching.
This role involves creating interactive videos for distance learning students, promoting engagement and bridging online learning with real-life experiences.
Requirements
Role Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for using Thinglink to create and edit three engaging interactive videos that enhance the learning experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in video production and a background in film and media.
Main Duties:
- Create and edit three engaging interactive videos
- Produce high-quality and engaging video content
- Edit footage and incorporate interactive features, such as clickable links and quizzes
- Trim, cut, and arrange footage
- Write voiceover/commentary
- Add text overlays and captions to videos
- Add music, sound effects, and visual effects to video footage as appropriate
Person Specification:
- Specialism in film and media production or related field
- Experience in video production and use of interactive elements
- Familiarity with interactive video tools and platforms
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, and Avid Media Composer
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to organize resources effectively
