Job Description

The Opportunity: We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mobile Developer to join our team on a freelance/remote capacity. You’ll play a pivotal role in building our first mobile applications (Proof of Concept/MVP) and establishing our mobile development capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction of our mobile platform and contribute directly to the success of a rapidly growing startup. You’ll be working closely with the founders in a flat, collaborative environment and will have significant autonomy in making key technical decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Mobile Application Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms (with potential for web integration in the future).
• Technology Roadmap & Architecture: Evaluate and recommend appropriate cross-platform development frameworks, contributing to the architectural design of robust and scalable mobile applications.
• MVP Delivery & Iteration: Prioritize and deliver features for our initial Proof of Concept and Minimum Viable Product, iterating quickly based on user feedback.
• Backend & Environment Integration: Integrate mobile applications with our backend services and APIs, leveraging AWS serverless technologies and building out foundational development environments and platforms.
• Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Establish and maintain testing environments and processes, championing coding standards, best practices, and code review processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Technical Leadership & Decision Making: Proactively identify and address technical challenges, making pivotal technology-related decisions for our projects.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of experience in mobile application development.

Platform Expertise: Proven experience developing and deploying applications to both iOS and Android platforms.

Cross-Platform Development: Strong experience with at least one cross-platform mobile development framework (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Xamarin).

Frontend Skills: Proficiency in modern frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Redux, etc.).

Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Startup Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
