Job Description

Sköna is seeking a freelance UX Designer/Strategist to collaborate with our team on a project-by-project basis. This is a long-term freelance opportunity (not a full-time role), ideal for an inquisitive visionary passionate about user experience, digital strategy, and research-driven design. You’ll be leading UX research, defining information architecture, and ensuring seamless, intuitive digital experiences for our clients, working closely with our in-house digital team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and a collaborative team player who thrives in a creative agency environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX strategy, research, or digital experience design.
• Strong understanding of user research, information architecture, and usability testing.
• Experience with tools like Figma, Creative Cloud, Google Analytics, and A/B testing platforms.
• Ability to think holistically about user experience while also focusing on the details.
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills—you can sell your ideas to clients and internal teams.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working closely with developers and an understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus.
• B2B experience or agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform web and UX strategy.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and information architecture frameworks.
• Define wireframes, UX flows, and interaction strategies that guide digital design.
• Work closely with designers and developers to ensure UX strategies are implemented effectively.
• Present UX strategies and insights to clients, helping them understand the value of great user experiences.
