Job Description

Razorfish has an immediate need for a freelance Editorial Content Creator to start ASAP and work on a 6+ month engagement for one of the largest entertainment and media brands. Freelancers will be considered for conversion to full-time based on performance and budget. In this role, you will be embedded on-site with our client, working alongside a team of over 25 people who manage organic social marketing for the brand and all its shows. You will foster and grow a vibrant online community for the client’s multiple social channels, translating programming strategies into creative ideas and content plans. Significant emphasis will be placed on talent content, launch campaigns, and reactive social storytelling.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in social media, brand marketing, or content strategy, ideally within entertainment, media, or agency settings.
• Strong understanding of social platforms, formats, and fan behavior—especially TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X.
• Experience developing or managing content development, creative briefs, or production timelines.
• Familiarity with talent workflows and tailoring content for IP and celebrity-driven campaigns.
• Strategic thinker with a creative perspective, trend fluency, and a passion for fandom, storytelling, and culture.
• Familiarity with social media publishing and analytics tools such as ListenFirst, Sprout, Sprinklr, Monday.com, Airtable, Asana, etc.
• Prior experience with entertainment brands is preferred but not required.
• A knack for writing clever, on-brand social copy and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Comfort working across multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, campaign-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting social content development and strategy, particularly during title launches, trailer drops, and significant cultural moments.
• Developing content briefs, social calendars, and creative outlines that are timely, platform-native, and fandom-friendly.
• Coordinating native social content production in collaboration with talent relations and marketing teams.
• Pursuing innovative ideas to expand social promotions across emerging platforms.
• Monitoring social trends and audience behaviors for insights and aligning them with programming priorities.
• Assisting with copywriting and tone guidance for talent social asks and channel-specific messaging.
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging across various touchpoints.
• Reviewing and approving social assets and post copy for accuracy before publishing.
• Light community management, engaging audiences across social accounts.
• Maintaining a flexible schedule for various initiatives that may require work during nights and weekends.

Participation in the Publicis 401(k) Plan is available after completing 1,000 work hours in a consecutive 12-month period. Compensation for this role ranges from $34.00 to $44.00 hourly.
