Job Title: Freelance Marketing Assistant – Residential Real Estate (Chicago)

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Chicago-based preferred)

Job Type: Freelance / Part-time

Hours: 10–15 hours per week

Compensation: Hourly (based on experience)

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Freelance Marketing Assistant to help us grow our brand and attract buyers and sellers through compelling visual content and strategic marketing.

Position Overview: This part-time freelance role is perfect for someone with a passion for real estate marketing, social media, and especially video production. You’ll work closely with our team to develop and project manage the team’s marketing plan; showcasing listings, creating engaging digital content, assisting with digital newsletters as well as physical mailing, coordinating live events, and managing CRM marketing programs.

Responsibilities

• Keep schedule and assist with the overall management of the teams marketing.
• Video & Photography: Capture and edit short-form video and photography content for listings, social media, and agent branding (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
• Coordinate and schedule photo/video shoots of residential properties.
• Create listing flyers, brochures, and branded marketing materials using Canva or Adobe Suite.
• Plan, create, and schedule social media posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Assist with email campaigns and newsletter creation.
• Help maintain website content, blogs, and property pages with SEO best practices.
• Analyze basic engagement metrics and assist in reporting.
• Stay updated on real estate marketing trends, especially in the Chicago market.
• Assist with CRM marketing for existing clients: home anniversary, referral gifts, and other initiatives, and keep client data up to date.
• Assist with quarterly physical mailers.
• Schedule and run a weekly meeting with team leads regarding upcoming marketing efforts.
• Help manage podcast schedule and editing.

Requirements

• Located in Chicago (or with the ability to visit properties/office as needed).
• 1–3 years of experience in marketing, real estate, or content creation.
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro or similar), or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok marketing.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of the Chicago real estate market or an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Agent is a plus.

Additional Information

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Benefits: Flexible schedule, choose your own hours, and weekends as needed.
