Role Overview: In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable PHP-based applications, collaborating with our cross-functional team to deliver quality solutions. You will spend several days a week working collaboratively in our Ballarat office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain PHP-based applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Work with the team to develop best practices and improve overall development efficiency.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
• Proficiency with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, or Angular is a plus).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
