Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate hip-hop/rap songwriter to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hip-hop culture, strong lyrical skills, and the ability to create compelling and original songs that resonate with audiences.

Responsibilities

• Create Original Lyrics: Write engaging and impactful lyrics that reflect the themes and style of hip-hop music.
• Collaborate with Artists: Work closely with hip-hop artists, producers, and other songwriters to develop and refine songs.
• Stay Current: Keep up with current trends in hip-hop music and culture to ensure lyrics are relevant and fresh.
• Revise and Edit: Modify and improve lyrics based on feedback from artists and producers.
• Pitch Songs: Present and pitch songs to music publishers, record companies, and performing artists.
• Document and Archive: Maintain records of all lyrics and compositions for future reference and copyright purposes.
• Protect Work: Ensure all lyrics and compositions are properly copyrighted and published.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience as a hip-hop/rap songwriter or relevant role.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of hip-hop culture, music theory, and composition.
• Skills: Excellent lyrical and storytelling abilities, with a knack for creating catchy and memorable hooks.
• Collaboration: Ability to work well with artists, producers, and other songwriters.
• Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to turn concepts and emotions into expressive music.
• Communication: Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: Up to $400.00 per month
