Job Description

We’re looking for a Web Developer & SEO Specialist to help fix some key issues following a recent website redesign that has seriously impacted our organic search performance. Before the redesign, we were ranking top 3 for our main local keywords. Since the migration, we’ve dropped to page 4, and organic traffic has taken a big hit.

While we’re happy with the overall look and don’t need a full redesign, we do need someone with a professional eye to tidy up the layout and design. Our old site had pages linked to our CRM used for sending job confirmations, receipts, review requests, and other client communications, which now lead to 404 errors due to migration issues. We need those pages properly migrated and reconnected.

Additionally, we publish daily blogs, and we’d like to migrate and polish older posts to fit with the new layout and design. You’ll be brought in to audit, diagnose, and fix these issues and put together a clear plan to restore our rankings and functionality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in on-page and technical SEO

• Solid understanding of local SEO best practices

• Experience using WordPress and Elementor

• Strong attention to design, layout, and user experience

• Ability to identify what’s wrong and implement effective fixes

• Clear communicator who can take initiative and work independently

Key Responsibilities

• Audit the current site for SEO and technical issues

• Fix indexing, broken links, redirects, sitemap and other core issues

• Optimise existing content and metadata for local SEO

• Improve page speed, responsiveness, and user experience

• Tweak layout and design to enhance usability (not a full redesign)

• Migrate and tidy up blog content for consistency

• Reconnect and fix CRM-linked pages to eliminate 404 errors
