Job Description

Framestore Integrated Advertising is on the lookout for exceptional design talent for freelance opportunities in our US-based offices. The role involves executing animations designed and art directed by senior members of the creative team. We are interested in hearing from freelancers who would like to be kept on our books for future opportunities.

Design freelancers should be comfortable using Photoshop CC, Illustrator, and AfterFX. Familiarity with Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Maya is a bonus but not always essential. Strong 2D and/or 3D animation skills are critical for this role. Additionally, skills in drawing/storyboarding, character design, or an interest in typography may be required depending on job needs.

Responsibilities

• Create highly engaging and complex motion graphics animations for a diverse array of projects.
• Conceptualize and produce design projects with internal Art Directors and Creative Directors.
• Create style frames, storyboards, motion tests, and assemble treatments for pitch presentations.
• Work independently on design projects or as part of a larger team on design-focused areas of some projects.
• Manage time effectively and provide accurate assessments of workload and deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong 2D and/or 3D animation skills.
• Comfortable using Photoshop CC, Illustrator, and AfterFX.
• Familiarity with Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Maya is a plus.
• Ability to draw/storyboard and develop character designs is beneficial.
• Interest in typography may be useful depending on job requirements.

Compensation

California and New York Employees Pay Range:

• Juniors (<1 year - 3 years experience): $25 - $35 per hour
• Mids (4 - 6 years experience): $400 - $550 per day
• Seniors (6+ years of experience): $600 - $900 per day

The posted range describes the minimum to maximum range for this job description in the state of New York and California, in accordance with the New York Pay Transparency Bill and the California Pay Transparency Law. Compensation may vary in markets outside of New York or California based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
