Job Description
Newmarket Holidays is looking for a talented UX/UI Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent. This role can be office-based or hybrid (Mondays and Wednesdays in the office) and is located in Wallington, London (Zone 5). The designer will take the lead on UX/UI thinking and execution across multiple initiatives, including website redesign and booking process improvement. You will collaborate closely with the ecommerce team, tech staff, and the in-house graphics studio to enhance the digital experience for thousands of travellers each month.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
- A strong UX thinker with sharp UI skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work within brand guidelines while providing fresh and thoughtful solutions.
- Confident in collaborating across different teams, including ecommerce, marketing, developers, BA, and brand design.
- A champion of design systems with a focus on consistency, clarity, and usability.
- Basic understanding of accessibility best practices and a commitment to inclusive design.
- Highly organized with clean design files and smooth handovers to development teams.
- Proficient in Figma and experienced in prototyping and testing.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience designing for ecommerce websites, particularly in the travel, hospitality, and lifestyle industries.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with designing booking flows or checkout journeys, evidenced in your portfolio.
- Experience with designing for older demographics is helpful.
- A passion for travel is considered a bonus.
