Web Designer is needed in United States.

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Phoenix, AZ, USA, Mountain Time (with 1-hour unpaid break)

As a Web Developer/Designer Level I, you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of our organization’s web presence. This entry-level position requires a skilled and detail-oriented professional who will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly websites. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career growth in the dynamic field of web development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Task Completion Rate: This metric measures the ability of the entry-level web developer to complete assigned tasks or user stories within given timeframes. It helps assess their efficiency and time management skills.
  • Code Quality: This metric evaluates the quality of code produced by the entry level web developer. It includes factors such as adherence to coding standards, readability, and absence of bugs or errors. High code quality indicates attention to detail and proficiency in writing clean and functional code.
  • Learning and Growth: This metric focuses on the entry level web developer’s ability to learn and grow in their role. It can be measured through their participation in training programs, completion of online courses, or engagement in professional development activities. Tracking their growth in technical skills and knowledge is crucial for their career progression.
  • Collaboration: Assessing the entry-level web developer’s ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team is important. This metric can be measured through feedback from team members and project managers. Collaboration skills are key for successful teamwork and overall project outcomes.
  • Problem Solving: This metric evaluates the entry level web developer’s problem-solving abilities. It can be measured by assessing their approach to debugging issues, finding solutions to technical challenges, and proposing innovative ideas or solutions. Strong problem-solving skills contribute to the developer’s effectiveness in resolving issues and improving overall development processes.

Requirements Skills:

  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating user interfaces.
  • Back-End Development: Ability to work with server-side languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, PHP) and databases.
  • Website Maintenance: Skill in identifying and resolving issues to ensure ongoing website functionality.
  • Code Testing: Thorough testing practices to identify and fix bugs in the development process.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensuring websites function consistently across various browsers and devices.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with designers and other developers to achieve project goals.

  • Security Implementation: Implementation of security measures to protect websites and user data.
  • Responsive Design: Optimization of websites for a seamless experience across different devices.
  • Version Control: Utilization of version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes.

Experience:

  • Entry-level position; internship or up to 1 year of experience in web development roles
  • 1-3 years of front-end website development experience (WordPress)
  • 1-3 Years of jQuery/JavaScript experience
  • Ability to write and edit technical documentation
  • Customize WordPress template themes to customer specifications
  • Create products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing
  • Make regular updates to client websites across a variety of platforms (i.e. WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Wix, etc.)
  • Experience with creative problem-solving
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics
  • Project management experience
