Job Title: SEO Specialist

Location: Remote

Schedule: 20 hours per week, flexible within Pacific Time

Preferred Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Remote SEO Specialist to join our team part-time. This role focuses on growing our organic search presence through technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, up-to-date with current SEO best practices, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research to support content and SEO strategies
  • Optimize website pages, blog posts, and metadata for search visibility
  • Perform technical SEO audits and implement improvements (e.g., site structure, mobile performance, crawl errors)
  • Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Track keyword rankings, backlinks, and competitor performance
  • Develop SEO recommendations and collaborate with content writers or developers as needed
  • Provide weekly or bi-weekly updates on progress, wins, and challenges
  • Stay current with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry tools

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of SEO experience, ideally in both technical and content SEO
  • Proficiency with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
  • Solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO practices
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:

  • Experience with local SEO and schema markup
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS
  • Understanding of content strategy and user experience
