Job Description
At Paired, we’re on a mission to help romantic couples stay in love. Our app creates a fun, safe space for couples to explore their relationship and grow together with expert advice and research. With over 12M downloads and 200,000 daily active users, we are the #1 couples app globally and have raised more than £5M. As we expand beyond digital, we are introducing physical products like card decks, journals, and guided activity books designed to complement our app and enhance offline connections.
Requirements
We are looking for a talented product designer who has:
- Experience designing consumer physical products, especially stationery, card games, journals, and/or gifts.
- An understanding of how design and strategy work together.
- Ability to transition from early-stage creative ideas to production-ready execution.
- A solid understanding of printing, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
- A keen eye for detail and visual storytelling, with experience in layout, typography, and packaging systems.
- Strong taste and strategic thinking, with openness to feedback and iteration.
- Experience collaborating closely with creative and operational teams, such as copywriters and marketing managers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign; experience with 3D tools is a bonus.
- Bonus experience in building scalable product systems or giftable retail packaging.
Work Setup and Compensation
- This is a remote freelance role, open to candidates based in the USA, UK, or EU.
- Collaboration with the Ecommerce team as part of a distributed setup.
- Working hours: 20+ hours per week.
- Duration: Ongoing.
- Compensation:
- $30-$50 per hour (USA)
- £25-£40 per hour (UK)
- €25-€45 per hour (EU)
Hiring Process
- 1st call with our Head of Ecommerce.
- Paid task to showcase skills and present to our Head of Ecommerce and Head of Design.
- Team interviews with various members you would be working with.
