Job Description

The opportunity is for a Freelance Videographer with Wandr North, a marketing agency based in Michigan. The role is as an Independent Contractor and involves being an on-call videographer. The position offers flexible scheduling, starting with 2-5 shoots per month, with the potential for 10+ shoots per month. Compensation ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and performance, and the primary work locations include Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City.

Wandr North specializes in performance-driven video content for high-ticket service businesses. The agency focuses on creating direct response video ads, nurture videos, and systematized productions to generate leads and build trust with clients. The videographer will represent Wandr North on location, guiding clients through scripted delivery while capturing high-quality footage without the need for micromanagement.

Requirements

• Own professional-level gear (camera, mics, lighting, teleprompter/tablet rig).
• Experience shooting with mirrorless cameras (such as Canon or Sony).
• Confidence in coaching clients on their on-camera delivery.
• Ability to work independently while being responsive and detail-oriented.
• Open to travel within Michigan and able to commit to 5-day scheduling notice.
• Professional on-site representation of Wandr North.

Additional Information

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $40-$50 based on experience and performance, with mileage reimbursed at the federal rate for approved travel. There are no retainers or monthly guarantees; work is assigned based on fit and availability.

Upon moving forward with candidates, they will be required to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement, shadow the founder on initial shoots, and gradually take on leadership while receiving feedback until achieving full autonomy by mid-July.
