Job Description

The DevOps Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASim) project on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). This role also involves the design, development, testing, documentation, and integration of simulation products for MDASim using C++ and/or C# programming languages on Windows operating systems.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications for DevOps Software Engineer or Principal DevOps Software Engineer:

• DevOps Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience.
• Principal DevOps Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience.

Skills:

Knowledge and experience with tools and technologies including CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab), scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), programming (C, C++, Java), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control systems (Git).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience in software development, including analysis, design, code, test and integration.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in engineering M&S systems using simulations.
• Knowledge of missile defense and modeling and simulation development.
• Experience in agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Additional Information

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental & vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health spending accounts, transportation benefits, and time off/leave options.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Colorado Springs, CO.
