Position Type: 1099 Contractor / Freelance

Compensation: $40/hr with 2 hr minimum.

Our freelance videographers play a key role in capturing clear, reliable video content that meets professional and legal standards.

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled and professional Freelance Legal Videographers to join our contractor network. We will provide the equipment. This is an on-call position ideal for experienced videographers looking to work in the legal field. Assignments include in-person depositions, remotely recorded depositions, and courtroom presentation of media and trial technology. Candidates must be dependable, technically proficient, and able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in legal environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Film depositions and other legal proceedings using provided professional-grade video and audio equipment
• Ensure clean, properly mic’d audio and well-framed video per legal video standards
• Set up and strike equipment independently in a timely and organized manner
• Interact respectfully and professionally with attorneys, witnesses, and court personnel
• Label, back up, and deliver footage according to company procedures and deadlines
• Perform light editing or syncing as needed (or deliver raw footage, depending on project scope)
• Be prepared for short-notice scheduling and flexible hours

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience operating professional video and audio gear (DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lavalier mics, audio mixers, tripods)
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must!
• Professional appearance and demeanor; must be comfortable in formal settings
• Calm under pressure, with good troubleshooting instincts
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Basic experience with video editing or syncing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, OnCue, YesLaw, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous legal videography or deposition recording experience
• Familiarity with transcript syncing, deposition protocols, and exhibit recording
• Willingness to travel regionally if needed
