Job Description

Heavy Content Studios is looking for a Senior Designer to join our team on a freelance project-basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time role. This is a fully remote position. We are seeking someone who is hardworking, inquisitive, honest, and a good collaborator. The Senior Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and multi-channel presence of our clients. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of agency, brand, or marketing experience, capable of crafting compelling creative across platforms such as brand identity systems, advertising campaigns, websites, and user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and develop strong visual concepts and design strategies that support brand storytelling across all platforms: print, digital, video, social, out of home, and web experiences.
  • Create cohesive brand identity systems, from style guides to full campaign rollouts.
  • Contribute to advertising concept development, bringing big ideas to life visually while aligning with campaign strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Co-Designers, Writers, Strategists, and Account / Project managers to deliver integrated creative solutions in a timely manner.
  • Integrate accessibility best practices across digital and print deliverables to ensure inclusive and equitable communication.
  • Integrate emerging media formats and technologies into design approaches to enhance audience engagement.
  • Manage time and resources efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of five years of professional design experience within an agency, brand, or marketing team setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver successful creative solutions across diverse and accessible formats, including print, digital, video, out of home, and UI/UX.
  • Strong conceptual thinking with a track record of crafting compelling visual narratives that align with strategic goals and engage target audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), Figma or Sketch, and other relevant platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, illustration, and image editing across multiple media types.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI best practices for responsive web and mobile design.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence with a nuanced understanding of diverse audiences and communities.

Additional Information

This is a freelance position and does not come with benefits. There is the potential for this freelance opportunity to turn into a full-time position, which would come with full health and dental benefits. Resumes will only be considered if they include a portfolio link.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $7,500.00 per month
