Job Description
Join a groundbreaking theatre project as we form a committed troupe to develop an innovative performance addressing Palestine, colonialism, and the extraction of Mother Earth’s vital forces. This is more than just a production; it is a living creative process co-produced with the James and Grace Lee Boggs Center, emphasizing solidarity and radical imagination. The work will feature live Chinese and African music, fostering a connection among the Chinese, African, and Arab communities through story, ritual, and performance.
Requirements
- Must be an intelligent, dedicated performer (Actors, Actresses, Dancers, Singers, Acrobats).
- Commitment to rehearsals during July & August 2025 with flexibility to accommodate work/academic commitments.
- Ability to attend rehearsals that may start as early as 8:30 AM.
- Prepared to engage in meaningful artistic work that crosses cultural borders.
Additional Information
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship
Pay: $12.48 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
Ability to Commute: Detroit, MI 48214 (Required)
