Job Description

The Art Director/Creative Lead at Citarella will collaborate closely with the Marketing team and ownership to plan and execute the visual components of marketing efforts. This role aims to promote and strengthen the Citarella gourmet brand and its sub-brands, adhering to brand positioning while managing deadlines and priorities. The candidate will work on various projects involving digital and physical touchpoints as well as branding initiatives, leading the design and production of visual and audio/video materials for digital media and web communications. The role encompasses supporting various departments with design collateral and playing a pivotal part in the brand’s evolution both in and outside of the store.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Project Management
• Oversee content specialists, junior and freelance graphic designers, and outline projects and deliverables.
• Manage project deadlines, priorities, and content changes for all projects.
• Adhere to timeline processes and develop solutions as needed.
• Lead day-to-day digital and print projects related to menu design, signage, advertisements, and packaging.
• Assist with the management of printing processes for collateral, both in-house and with approved vendors.
• Retail & Brand Design
• Develop design templates and assets that communicate Citarella’s brand identity.
• Maintain the Citarella Brand Style book with updated guidelines for the brand or sub-brands.
• Build and maintain Citarella’s brand across all communication pieces.
• Design collateral and creative assets for marketing and promotional teams.
• Private Label & Packaging Design
• Develop and produce private label packaging and labeling projects from conception to completion.
• Digital & Web
• Translate website and ecommerce needs to enhance online customer experience.
• Design and develop web-ready digital assets, marketing ads, and campaigns.
• Support Marketing Manager and Social Specialist with engaging graphics and content.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a design and video creation lead role.
• Expert level skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
