Job Description

GreenXT is seeking a Technical Writer for contract support with the US Navy. The role involves contributing to the development and creation of Navy Technical Manuals ™, Test Procedures, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and other relevant Navy documentation. As a technical writer, the individual will work closely with Subject Matter Experts in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, and submarine communication systems.

The position will require receiving, transmitting, and analyzing technical data in both manual and electronic or integrated digital/data environments, as well as maintaining technical documentation. The technical writer will operate in an Agile environment, reporting to multiple teams and numerous stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain it upon position acceptance).
• High School/vocational school degree or GED.
• At least three (3) years of experience with technical documentation and logistics.
• Preferred at least one (1) year of experience with US Navy HM&E Submarine Communication and Electromagnetic Systems.
• Preferred experience with NAVLOGTD.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Technical Writing Skills.
• Ability to manage projects effectively and independently.
• Experience in proofreading and research.
