Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative part-time/freelance Senior Art Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience designing for print magazines, a deep understanding of editorial design, and a refined visual sensibility. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has hands-on expertise with InDesign, Photoshop, and video editing tools. You will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our publications, from page layouts to digital assets, ensuring a cohesive and elevated aesthetic across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and layout of our print magazines, from initial concepts to final production.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, photo, and production teams to bring stories to life visually.
• Maintain and evolve the visual language of our titles, ensuring consistency and innovation across issues.
• Manage and mentor junior designers, providing feedback and guidance on design projects.
• Create visually compelling assets for digital, social, and video content as needed.
• Participate in creative planning meetings and contribute to the development of editorial themes and visual direction.
• Oversee deadlines, production schedules, and file delivery for both print and digital platforms.
• Stay current with design trends in fashion, culture, and publishing.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing for print magazines or editorial publications.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
• Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a refined aesthetic and creative versatility.
• Excellent typographic skills and an eye for composition, color, and detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced editorial environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for fashion, culture, and storytelling through design.
