Job Description

We are seeking a skilled whiteboard animation artist to collaborate on a series of educational videos for the Tampa Bay Roundtable, focused on child welfare, trauma-informed parenting, attachment theory, and developmental psychology. These videos will be used to engage parents, caregivers, and professionals in the child welfare space. They will be based on voice-recorded narrations and will require hand-drawn doodle-style animation, similar to the visual storytelling style seen in After Skool or RSA Animate. Each video should visually illustrate the narration through dynamic, expressive sketches that bring the spoken concepts to life.

Requirements

• Experience creating whiteboard/doodle-style animations with a clear, emotionally resonant aesthetic.
• Ability to work with pre-recorded audio and sync animations precisely to narration timing.
• Proficiency in tools such as VideoScribe, Doodly, DoodleMaker, or custom drawing + Adobe After Effects workflows.
• Strong visual storytelling skills—especially with abstract or emotional topics like trauma, attachment, and healing.
• Comfortable collaborating around sensitive and complex topics in child development and family support.

Project Scope

• Videos will vary in length from 5 to 15 minutes.
• Initial contract for one animated video.
• Ongoing work possible (monthly or bi-monthly) for additional topics.
• Script and voiceover will be provided.
• You will help translate key moments into visuals and align sketches to voice pacing.

Ideal Candidate

• Has a portfolio of whiteboard or hand-drawn explainer videos (please include links).
• Understands or is open to learning trauma-informed and attachment-based content.
• Can meet deadlines and communicate clearly with a small, compassionate team.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.
