Job Description

We are seeking an experienced video editor for a comprehensive internal Safety/Awareness video series consisting of 25 videos (4-8 minutes each). This is a part-time freelance position requiring expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a hybrid work arrangement combining office collaboration and remote editing.

Responsibilities

• Primary Responsibilities
• Video Editing: Select best takes from 4K talking head footage and create engaging, professional edits
• Motion Graphics: Design and implement on-screen text animations, lower thirds, and transitions using After Effects
• Visual Enhancement: Collaborate on sourcing, integrating, and/or creating B-roll footage, custom animations, stock footage, and infographics
• Brand Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to provided brand guidelines while exploring creative animation opportunities
• File Management: Maintain organized project files within established folder structures

• Total Videos: 25 videos in series
• Video Length: 4-8 minutes per video
• Source Material: 4K single camera talking head footage (23.978 fps)

Timeline & Deliverables

• Project Timeline
• Total Estimated Hours: 250-350 hours
• Phase 1 Priority: First 5 videos completed by end of August/early September 2025
• Approach: Quality over speed - adequate time allocated for high-quality output
• Remaining Videos: Scheduled based on filming completion and client priorities
• Deliverables
• Edited videos in formats to be specified per video
• Raw project files organized in existing folder structure
• All assets and media properly archived on external SSDs

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid Schedule
• Office Days: 1-2 days per week initially for collaborative tasks such as:
• File transfers and media management
• Collaborative video reviews
• Creative brainstorming sessions
• Direct feedback and approval processes
• Remote Days: Remaining days for focused editing work
• Schedule Evolution: Expect transition to 1 day in office weekly as workflow becomes established

Tools & Infrastructure

• Primary Software: Adobe Premiere Pro (essential), After Effects (preferred)
• Additional Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop for graphics workflow)
• File Management: External SSDs for project files and media
• Review Process: Frame.io for media reviews and approval stages
• Brand Assets: Provided templates for lower thirds, transitions, and end cards

Qualifications

• Proven experience with full-cycle video editing workflows
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience integrating diverse B-roll sources (stock footage, animations, infographics)
• Experience with 4K video workflows and frame rate considerations
• Ability to work with brand guidelines while maintaining creative flexibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cutting, color grading, and audio mixing
• Advanced After Effects skills for custom animations and motion graphics
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for graphic design workflows
• Knowledge of professional file management and organization systems
• Previous experience with internal/corporate video content
