Social Media Manager for LondonGenetics.co.uk (Healthcare Awareness)
LondonGenetics.co.uk is seeking a Social Media Manager to support awareness campaigns focused on familial breast cancers and inherited genetic conditions. We need a freelancer with proven experience in healthcare or wellness campaigns, specifically in managing and growing Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn channels. You should be able to create empathetic and engaging content, including short-form posts and ad creatives, run and monitor paid social campaigns using Meta Ads Manager, and report performance using Meta Insights and Google Analytics.
We expect you to engage with the community by responding to enquiries and building trust online, as well as suggesting new ideas for outreach and influencer collaborations. The initial project includes onboarding, drafting a content calendar, social media setup, launching posts and ads within the first few weeks, and completing a performance review at the end of the first month. Our mission is to make genetic counselling and testing more accessible to UK communities, and we value culturally sensitive and professional communication across all our social platforms. Ongoing collaboration is possible as the company grows.

About the client
I am Dr. Ehsan Ghayoor Karimiani (MD, MRes, PhD), a medical geneticist with more than 10 years’ experience in clinical genetics and research (UCL, NHS, private practice). I recently launched LondonGenetics.co.uk, a new service dedicated to genetic counselling and testing for families at risk of familial breast cancers and other inherited conditions. Our mission is to raise awareness, provide confidential counselling, and make advanced genetic testing accessible to diverse communities across the UK. I am looking for a Social Media Manager to help build LondonGenetics’ online presence, manage Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn channels, and run awareness campaigns that connect with women and families in a supportive, professional, and culturally sensitive way. This is a meaningful healthcare project with potential for ongoing collaboration as LondonGenetics grows.
