Job Description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a skilled illustrator and graphic designer to join our curriculum team. In this role, you will work closely with IXL curriculum designers to create engaging images for online learning materials. This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension.

Requirements

• Strong craftsmanship and illustration skills with a keen eye for design.
• The ability to create engaging, clean, raster images using a stylized, graphic-novel approach is a must.
• The ability to create kid-friendly, flat vector artwork is a plus.
• Experience as an illustrator/graphic designer for online content, preferably in an education-related field.
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop (Illustrator is a plus).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly through sketches, verbal communication, and written formats.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple design requests efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Experience sourcing and manipulating images from Shutterstock is a plus.
• A degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create visually appealing illustrations with a stylized, graphic-novel approach for Rosetta Stone’s Foundations product.
• Maintain visual consistency and ensure adherence to style guidelines.
• Effectively manage multiple illustration projects under tight deadlines.
• Revise images based on feedback from curriculum designers.

Candidates will be asked to complete their application by submitting a sample illustration. Candidates with the top illustration will be selected to move forward with the application process. If hired, you will be compensated with $250 upon delivery of each completed image.
