We are seeking an experienced video editor and sound designer to create the trailer for our Swiss feature film, La Poya, which is set in the Alps. The role involves editing selected footage into a cohesive professional trailer, color grading with an emphasis on day-for-night (nuit américaine) techniques to craft realistic, cinematic night sequences, and audio work such as dialogue cleaning and mixing natural alpine atmospheres (wind, cowbells, night ambience) for an immersive feel. You must be proficient in tools like DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Pro Tools (or equivalents), have strong collaboration and communication skills, and be reliable in meeting deadlines. The trailer will be used for funding applications and festival submissions, and all work can be completed remotely. We will provide all necessary footage and audio, and there is the possibility of future collaboration on the full feature.

Examples:
We’re aiming for a naturalistic, vérité trailer rooted in alpine realism, but with fairytale day-for-night vibes: subtle blue/cyan tones, deep yet clean blacks, preserved skin tones, controlled highlights (no heavy teal-orange). The night should feel other-worldly but plausible like stepping into another realm while staying grounded in reality. Sound design: delicate night ambience (wind, cowbells, distant wildlife, immersive textures.

Visual mood / day-for-night (fairytale, mystical):
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives — jungle night, magical realism (trailer).

Mountain naturalism / pacing & texture:
The Eight Mountains — alpine realism, contemplative rhythm (official trailer).
