Job Description
Mendocino-Lake Community College District is looking for Life Models to support the delivery of curricula in the Art Department. This temporary, hourly position is available throughout the 2023/2024 school year. Life Models will provide students an opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment, enhancing their understanding of anatomy, proportion, and artistic production histories.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Must meet Human Resources guidelines for qualified hiring, including a Live Scan background check and completion of a TB test.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience as an artist’s model in a classroom environment, or experience in dance, movement, and/or theater is helpful. Candidates should also have knowledge of how models demonstrate anatomy, gesture, and content in visual compositions, and be aware of classic and traditional poses in art.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to provide a full range of gestures and poses, from quick gestures to long, sustained poses, and be able to re-establish poses for modeling sessions.

Salary and Benefits
This position offers $25.00 per hour, and employees will earn three (3) days of sick leave per year. Eligibility for CalPERS Retirement may apply based on hours worked. A Bronze level benefit plan is available at the cost of the employee.

Conditions of Employment
