Job Description

This is a remote position for a Video Editor who will work on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). The ideal candidate should possess a strong eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and pacing, turning raw video content into engaging, high-quality edits suitable for social media platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing short-form content.
• Proficiency with editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
• Ability to create motion graphics and text overlays is a plus.
• Strong sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently under flexible scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with brand voice and style.
• Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and transitions to elevate video quality.
• Repurpose raw footage into multiple engaging formats.
• Maintain consistency in branding, color grading, and overall tone across all video content.
• Collaborate with the team during weekly catch-ups (within Mountain Time business hours) to review progress and align on priorities.
• Stay updated on trends in video editing and social media to propose creative ideas.
