Job Description

The Freelance Associate Video Editor at Likeable is a digital media storyteller focused on delivering brand-defining video content. As an integral member of the video team, you are a team player who’s eager to collaborate with the creative team and find proactive ways to learn and elevate your work. You know how to deliver projects on time that are visually beautiful, technically sound, and meet client goals.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of video editing experience in a brand or agency setting
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and After Effects with a knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of hardware and software required for video and audio format conversion and compression
• Knowledge of social media platforms and specs a must (knowledge of Capcut and/or Kapwing a plus)
• Strong storytelling skills. Doesn’t matter if it is 3 seconds or 3 minutes, you have an eye for good narrative
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to edit short and long form videos, including sound mixing, color correction, and implementation of titles and GFX, from start to end
• A self-starter that possesses strong individual and team communication skills with the ability to take direction well
• Ability to properly and efficiently execute changes to edits based on internal or external feedback
• Experienced storyteller who can craft a narrative using a library of existing footage and written transcripts

• Ability to juggle and complete multiple projects in a timely manner based on production schedule
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; must proactively work with designers and motion designers to execute video projects on time
• Ability to manage organization of projects, media, and assets throughout the entire editorial process
• A clear understanding of and passion for social media and how it benefits brands both large and small
