This is a remote position.

The DTC Brand Strategist is the business owner for client growth across social ads, search ads, and retention marketing (email/SMS), collaborating with Amazon Brand Managers when marketplace efforts intersect with DTC strategy.

They lead audits, strategy development, and execution oversight—owning KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, retention, and LTV. By translating research, audits, and competitive insights into actionable roadmaps, they ensure each brand has a clear story, voice, positioning, and differentiation.

Working with Creative Strategists and channel specialists, the Brand Strategist aligns budgets, messaging, and campaigns to drive measurable revenue. They monitor performance, optimize spend, and document learnings while maintaining transparent communication with clients through strategy calls, QBRs, and growth planning sessions.

Key Responsibilities Client Growth & Planning

  • Own performance KPIs across social ads, search ads, and retention (email/SMS).
  • Build quarterly roadmaps: budget allocation, campaign mix, retention initiatives, testing priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Amazon Brand Manager when marketplace efforts affect DTC strategy.

Brand Audits & Insights

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of paid social, search, retention programs, and overall brand presence.
  • Analyze creative mix, messaging, funnel efficiency, email/SMS performance, and landing-page experience.
  • Evaluate competitor positioning, category trends, and whitespace opportunities.

Brand Strategy Development

  • Develop and continuously refine brand strategy for each client, including:
  • Brand story and messaging hierarchy
  • Voice and tone guidelines
  • Market positioning and offer architecture
  • Competitive differentiation and value propositions
  • Document strategies and present them as part of QBRs or onboarding sessions.

Channel Strategy & Execution Oversight

  • Direct the paid social and search teams on structure, targeting, and scaling strategy.
  • Oversee lifecycle marketing (email/SMS) to maximize LTV and reduce churn.
  • Approve channel priorities, spend, and promotions based on data and brand goals.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Creative Strategists to brief and evaluate ad creative (without owning copy/design work).
  • Coordinate with retention, paid media, and analytics teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Escalate blockers and manage resources to hit performance goals.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor dashboards (ROAS, CPA, CAC:LTV, open/click rates, AOV).
  • Diagnose performance issues and implement pivots: offers, audience segments, funnel steps.
  • Document learnings and share insights with internal teams and clients.

Client Communication

  • Lead strategy calls and QBRs, presenting clear insights and next steps.
  • Educate clients on channel performance, trade-offs, and growth levers.
  • Surface upsell/cross-sell opportunities when aligned with goals.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years managing social ads with a strong focus on DTC/B2C campaigns.
  • 3+ years hands-on with Meta & TikTok Ads.
  • Expertise in email marketing and multi-channel campaign integration.
  • Skilled in CRO & A/B testing to boost conversions and landing page performance.
  • Strong creative eye and copywriting ability for consumer engagement.
  • Active Meta & TikTok Ad Certifications.
  • Proven leader with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of building scalable workflows for creative and performance marketing.
  • Data-driven mindset with sharp analytical and optimization skills.
  • Excellent communicator, highly organized, and results-focused.

Technical Requirements:

  • A dual-monitor setup is required (at least 8GB of RAM)
  • Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed
