We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Rate Server Technology Team. This role requires someone who can understand systems end-to-end, build and enhance applications, deliver on commitments, support the application during EST trading hours, and guide the operations team as needed. The developer will collaborate with business and technology teams to gather requirements and implement innovative solutions that effectively meet business needs. This role is located in our NYC office - 240 Greenwich St.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development & Enhancement: Primarily focus on backend Java development to design, build, and enhance full-stack applications. Implement microservices, Web APIs, and server-side logic to support frontend and operational needs. Ensure quality code and scalable architecture for critical market data systems.
• Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business and technology teams from other applications to understand requirements and propose/implement innovative solutions. Participate in daily scrums and sprint planning, including collaboration with offshore teams.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to production services during EST trading hours. Manage both .NET and Java issues as needed, though .NET and frontend development are secondary to backend expertise. Production support is approximately 30% of the role.
• Architecture, Testing & Data Handling: Architect microservice and Web API-based platforms, implement unit testing, and maintain performance reliability. Work with SQL Server or other databases, ETL processes (SSIS), stored procedures, and data extraction/loading. Implement improved caching solutions (Hazelcast) and optimize data flow for internal and external market data distribution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in backend Java development
• Thorough knowledge of designing/architecting microservice and Web API-based platforms
• Experience with SQL Server, database design, stored procedures, tables, and ETL processes
• Ability to troubleshoot/support both Java and .NET environments
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and participating in sprints
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (AppEngine), Jira, Git CI/CD, and DevOps practices

Preferred Experience

• Frontend development experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, or HTML
• Proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, and .NET Core
• Experience with Kafka messaging, Hazelcast caching, Python, or PowerShell
• Background in financial services and market data systems

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate: 85 USD/hour

Max Pay Rate: 100 USD/hour
