Job Description

We are seeking a talented Part-Time Contract Video Editor to join our creative team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented editor who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a strong eye for storytelling, and can manage projects independently. The work can be done remotely, but occasional in-person trips to Denver / Northern Colorado are required to exchange media assets and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Edit short- and long-form video projects in line with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and deadlines.
• Manage raw footage, organize media assets, and maintain efficient project file structures.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and other creatives to execute the desired vision.
• Apply color correction, sound mixing, graphics, and basic motion design when needed.
• Deliver final exports in multiple formats and aspect ratios for various platforms (e.g., social media, web, broadcast).
• Provide creative input to elevate storytelling and improve viewer engagement.
• Handle media pick-up/drop-off in Denver / Northern Colorado as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong understanding of video codecs, compression, and export settings.
• Experience with color grading, sound editing, and basic motion graphics.
• Reliable transportation for in-person media exchanges.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
