JOB DESCRIPTION

CrimeOnline is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis for the production of “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.” The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and assembling a daily breaking crime news program that aligns with the vision of the Host and Executive Producer (EP), Nancy Grace. This role requires a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Additionally, the Video Editor will be responsible for delivering the final show to our distribution partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit and assemble recorded footage to create a cohesive and engaging daily news program for “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace.”
• Collaborate closely with Nancy Grace and the EP to ensure the final product matches their vision.
• Trim video segments to fit time constraints while maintaining narrative flow.
• Sequence segments into a creative and logical narrative that enhances the storytelling.
• Add graphics, special effects, and visual elements to complement the host’s conversation and enhance viewer engagement.
• Ensure timely delivery of the final edited show to distribution partners.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in video editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Ability to work with different operating systems.
• Strong eye for detail and creativity.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Strong understanding of editorial news content, particularly in the crime genre, and the ability to translate it into compelling video narratives.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $27.00-37.00 per hour.
