Job Description

The Boeing Space & Launch Division’s Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program is looking for a Wideband Global SATCOM Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team in Colorado Springs, CO, or El Segundo, CA. The team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced, and Senior Level Software Engineers.

The GSCCE program seeks motivated, goal-achieving, and team-oriented systems engineers to update, upgrade, and develop a modernized military satellite communications ground system that manages the WGS Payloads for all Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM satellites. As a member of the GSCCE team, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to maintenance and support of the delivered system for our customers.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive applications using Angular, React.js, HTML, CSS, and Java for micro-services.
  • Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet quality, safety, security, and certification standards.
  • Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities; integrate and deploy mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and standards and monitor test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution.
  • Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about software products.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to review performance issues and develop solutions for optimal software performance.
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code within the existing codebase.
  • Work under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • 2+ years of web-based development experience using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 2+ years of experience with RESTFul APIs.
  • Experience identifying security vulnerabilities within source code.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with open-source software development.
  • 3+ years of web socket programming experience.
  • 3+ years with object-oriented programming (Java).
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments.
  • 3+ years of experience as a well-rounded engineer in multiple roles, such as web designer and engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating and troubleshooting software components.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and experience with Government security requirements.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment using Atlassian Suite or similar tools.

Pay & Benefits: Competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, and eligible employee benefits.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $86,700 - $125,350; Experienced Level: $107,100 - $155,250; Senior Level: $127,500 - $185,150.
