Job Description

We’re looking for a Creative Video Editor – Social Media & Storytelling – a creative, driven, and ethical individual who’s passionate about professional growth. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career who already has hands-on experience in video, photography and social media. You’ll collaborate with our team to plan, produce, and edit visual content for various digital platforms – creating graphics, capturing and editing videos and photos, and contributing fresh ideas to enhance our campaigns and social media storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain narrative flow; shoot and edit long-form video content such as VLOGs and web episodes for YouTube.
  • Shoot and edit short-form videos (Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
  • Implement special effects, motion graphics, and compositing when needed.
  • Capture and edit photography for digital platforms.
  • Assist with styling, props, and set coordination during content shoots.
  • Support content production on location at events and video shoots.
  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns and visual storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the creative team using Trello for communication and project management.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

Portfolio / Reel:

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio or reel showcasing previous work.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and DaVinci Resolve.

Narrative & Creativity:

  • Strong understanding of storytelling, timing, pacing, and continuity in editing.
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D elements, and compositing techniques.
  • Excellent storytelling ability and a creative mindset.

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in Audiovisual Communications, Video Production, Cinematography, Communications, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to use Time Doctor to track work hours when working remotely.
  • Must have access to a reliable editing computer and internet connection.

Soft Skills:

  • Creativity, initiative, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Additional Information

  • Flexible working hours (part-time), mostly remote when editing, and on-site presence when filming.
  • A maximum of 30 hours per week.
