Job Description
Choir/Music Director needed for a college production of “Footloose” at Colorado School of Mines. The director must attend evening/weekend rehearsals on campus in Golden from January-April with auditions in early January. The schedule will be set based on cast & director’s availability, typically involving about three days of three-hour long rehearsals per week, including one usually being on the weekend.
The ideal candidate is immensely flexible and prepared for a dynamic, collaborative environment, working closely with student actors, crew, and other directors throughout the creative process. Candidates should have a clear vision and be ready to work with actors of varying skill levels.
Mines Little Theatre is a registered student organization at the Colorado School of Mines dedicated to providing students and faculty with opportunities to participate in and learn about theatre, promoting theatre and the arts in the Colorado School of Mines and the Golden community.

Directors are expected to perform their duties, including running auditions, making casting decisions, leading rehearsals, and attending production meetings.
Rehearsal Schedule: About 3 months, with auditions to be held in early January and rehearsals starting the following week.
Performance Dates: April 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2026.
Rate: $3,000.
A certificate of insurance (COI) is required, but reimbursement is available if needed.
