Job Description

WCJB is looking for a creative and energetic individual who wants to work in the exciting world of video production. We are seeking a skilled writer/editor/graphic designer/videographer to create powerful concepts to market a message or tell a story for the station and/or clients through video (digital and broadcast).

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Show up to all shoots before the scheduled time.
• Set up all equipment for shoots promptly to make sure the client is not waiting.
• Complete all assignments within the timeline set by Creative Services for the client.
• Monthly inspections of equipment.
• Continuous training to perfect editing & shooting with all cameras and editing programs.
• Assist others in editing and/or shooting projects when needed.
• Work with Account Executives and clients to develop compelling content for broadcast and digital consumption.
• Communicate any elements needed from the client to complete the project (logos, pictures, etc.).
• Communicate progress or problems with management as it relates to the scope of work for the client.
• Complete assigned topicals daily.

Requirements

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of production lighting techniques.
• Must be proficient with DSLR and ENG gear and demonstrate strong cinematography skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs and stand for extended periods of time in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Must have strong organizational skills and be skilled at presenting ideas and gaining the approval and satisfaction of clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Candidates must be comfortable in both Mac & PC environments.
• A college degree is required or equivalent professional experience.
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a Part 107 UAS certificate.
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Time-management skills and day-to-day project flexibility are required, along with a sense of urgency to deliver projects under tight deadlines.
