Remote Video Editor (Contract / Part-Time)
About Us
We’re a small but growing media company currently working with two clients, with several new partnerships in the pipeline. We create cinematic, emotionally driven videos across music, wellness, and education. We’re looking for a video editor who’s excited to grow with us — as our projects expand, your hours and compensation will too.
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Video Editor to collaborate on short-form and long-form content (YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, and promotional clips). You’ll work closely with our creative team to turn raw footage into polished, engaging stories.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and emotional storytelling
- Experience editing both short-form (Reels/TikToks) and long-form content
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely
- Portfolio or reel showcasing past work (required)
Responsibilities
- Edit videos for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok with a cinematic, modern feel
- Add music, sound design, color correction, and motion graphics as needed
- Maintain brand consistency across all edits
- Deliver projects on time and communicate clearly about timelines and revisions
- Suggest creative ideas and improvements to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
Nice to Have
- Experience in music, lifestyle, or educational content
- Basic motion graphics or typography skills
- Familiarity with YouTube or social media growth strategies
