Full-stack developer for IoT app

We are Farmtell, a company that creates IoT devices and accompanying apps. We are looking to hire a freelance full-stack developer for a part-time contract position to support our technology needs. The expert would be working remotely and would not be required on-site at any point. We are ready to make a paid hire and are looking for someone with mid-level experience, familiar with industry-standard practices. Applicants will be expected to receive offers rather than work with a fixed budget, as we have not specified a financial limit at this stage.

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our team as a project to start with, but potential option to work full-time independent contractor. This is a crucial role, as you will be taking over from our current engineer and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from maintaining our existing infrastructure to building new features. You will be instrumental in the ongoing development of our app, with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:
● Maintain existing infrastructure and databases to ensure optimal performance.
● Add new features and implement app updates to continuously enhance functionality.
● Handle data integration for new sensors and devices.
● Work independently on both maintenance and new feature builds to meet project timelines.
● Collaborate with the small team to support ongoing improvements and strategic goals.
● Process sensor data in our cloud-based system to provide real-time information to farmers.

Qualifications:
● Proven full-stack development experience (2–7 years) (Required).
● Strong database management skills (Required).
● App development and integration capabilities (Required).
● Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability (Required).

● Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to integrate quickly (Required).
