JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Director, Art & Design, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, art directors, and production artists in delivering high-quality, brand-aligned creative work across multiple business segments. This role requires a blend of hands-on creative leadership, strategic oversight, and a focus on team development. You will be deeply involved in visual storytelling, process optimization, and ensuring that design excellence drives business impact.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: 10+ years in creative leadership, managing art directors and designers across print, digital, and apparel.
• Education: A degree in commercial art, design, or advertising, along with a compelling portfolio demonstrating creative excellence.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the apparel industry, printing processes, photography, color separation, and manufacturing workflows.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Corel, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software (Rhino, V-Ray, Maya, Gem/Matrix), and embroidery tools (Pulse/Tajima).
• Strategic Project Management: Proven ability to direct multiple creative programs, allocate resources effectively, and drive cross-functional coordination.
• Leadership Strength: Skills in team motivation, delegation, coaching, and handling performance management with fairness and clarity.
• Process-Oriented Mindset: Ability to streamline workflows and ensure speed-to-market without sacrificing creative quality.
• System Knowledge: Understanding of Jostens systems, enterprise creative programs, and design integration across platforms.
