This is a remote position.

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (1 PM – 5 PM PST)

Client Timezone: PST

Total Weekly Hours: 20 Hours

Our client is seeking a skilled Instagram & Facebook Video Editor to join a growing academy team, focusing solely on short-form video content for social media. You’ll transform pre-recorded footage into engaging, high-quality reels that capture the academy’s brand and storytelling style. This is a long-term, ongoing position (not project-based) with a consistent schedule and direct collaboration with academy leadership.

Responsibilities

• Edit 10–15 minutes of raw footage into 1-minute social media reels.
• Deliver approximately 6 edited videos per week (24 per month).
• Identify and select the most engaging clips for maximum audience impact.
• Ensure consistent quality and style aligned with branding standards.
• Add basic graphics or text overlays to enhance final videos.
• Manage workflow efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Maintain open communication with leadership regarding project feedback.

Scope

• Focus purely on editing, not on strategy or posting.
• Maximum final video length: 1 minute 10 seconds.
• Performance review after a 90-day probation period.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing and short-form content creation.
• Portfolio or samples of short videos/reels required.
• Proficiency with video editing software (mobile or desktop).
• Strong understanding of social media best practices for reels.
• Creative eye for storytelling and audience engagement.
• Reliable internet connection and availability for daily 4-hour shifts.
• Basic graphic design skills for simple visual enhancements.
• Commitment to a minimum 6-month engagement.
• Must use iOS (iPhone 15 or later) for editing purposes.
