Job Description
We’re looking for a talented video editor to join our growing YouTube channel, @TreyConverts, on a project-based basis — with the potential to grow into a long-term role as the business scales.
Our niche is helping online coaches and educators grow their businesses through YouTube by creating high-quality educational videos that build trust, authority, and drive client acquisition.
We aim for a premium, clean, and emotionally engaging style similar to Iman Gadzhi, focusing on Apple-style minimalism with intentional pacing, crisp cuts, modern typography, and subtle animations that maintain a high-end feel without being overproduced.
You’ll work closely with me (Trey) to turn talking-head recordings into high-retention, educational edits that capture attention, communicate clearly, and align with our brand’s premium aesthetic.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
You’re passionate about storytelling through simplicity — knowing how to make educational videos feel premium through pacing, visuals, and rhythm rather than flashy effects. You’ve edited talking-head or YouTube educational content before (ideally in the entrepreneurial or coaching space) and understand what keeps viewers engaged from start to finish. You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and excited to grow with a channel that’s scaling fast.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience editing talking-head or educational YouTube videos
- Strong understanding of story structure, pacing, and retention
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Ability to source and integrate b-roll, music, and subtle sound design that enhance learning
- Familiarity with clean, minimal motion design (Apple-style)
- Understanding of YouTube editing fundamentals (hooks, pacing, pattern interrupts, etc.)
- Portfolio or examples of similar style content (required)
- Excellent communication and ability to deliver on deadlines
