Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Video Editor to join our vibrant content creation team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind transforming raw footage, images, and graphics into compelling visual stories that captivate audiences across multiple platforms. Your expertise in editing, motion graphics, and post-production will help elevate our brand’s visual identity and engage viewers with high-quality video content. Responsibilities

• Edit Raw Footage: Review and select the best clips, then cut, trim, and assemble them into a cohesive sequence.
• Enhance Visuals and Audio: Improve video and sound quality using color correction/grading, audio balancing/mixing, and sound design techniques.
• Add Effects and Graphics: Incorporate transitions, special effects (VFX), motion graphics, titles, captions, and music to enhance engagement and support the narrative.
• Optimize: Ensure the video is formatted correctly for the platform (e.g., aspect ratio, resolution, compression) and contribute to content optimization by creating compelling thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and tags (metadata).
• Collaborate: Work closely with the content creator to understand their vision, receive feedback, and make necessary revisions.
• Manage Assets: Organize and maintain an orderly library of all video and audio files for current and future projects.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends, editing software, and platform algorithm updates to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.

Qualifications

• Experience in video editing, demonstrating diverse projects across social media, marketing campaigns, or corporate videos.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve, Cinema 4D or Maya for 3D animation is highly desirable.
• Skilled in photo editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom and Capture One for high-quality image manipulation.
• Knowledge of post-production techniques including color grading, sound editing, motion graphics creation, and visual effects integration.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), FTP protocols for file transfer and organization.
• Strong understanding of videography principles including filming techniques and equipment setup.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail with a passion for storytelling through visual media.

Additional Information

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
